Four tri-county area players, and one former player from the area, are among the semifinalists for the 2019 Mr. and Miss Maine Basketball awards, which were announced Wednesday.

Gray-New Gloucester’s Bri Jordan is a semifinalist for the Miss Basketball award. Edward Little’s Wol Maiwen, Gray-NG’s John Martin and Winthrop’s Cam Wood are all on the list for the Mr. Basketball award, as is Bangor’s Matt Fleming, who played his first two seasons at Oxford Hills.

The annual honors go to the top seniors in Maine high school basketball.

The other boys announed as semifinalists were: Andrew Story and Zach Brown of Greely; Nick Fiorillo, Scarborough; Ben Onek, Deering; Cooper Wirkala, Oceanside; and Ashlyn Abbott, Hall-Dale.

Beside Jordan, the other girls announced as semifinals were: Anna DeWolfe, Greely; Mackenzie Holmes, Gorham; Faith Blethen, Boothbay; Katie Whitmore, South Portland; Grace Martin, Biddeford; McKenzy Ouellette, Massabesic; Annie Cook, Skowhegan; Bailey Donovan, Hampden; and Delaney Haines, Deering.
