NORWAY – Richard K. McAlister, 79, of Norway, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at his home. He was born in Norway on Dec. 21, 1939, the son of Guy P. McAlister Sr. and Minnie P. Pratt McAlister.
He graduated from Norway High School in the class of 1958. Richard was a musician, a handyman, a boilerman and an arborist. He owned AA Statewide Tree Service.
He was a lover of music, nature and the ladies. He was a self taught guitar and keyboard player. He is survived by his brother, Guy P. McAlister Jr.; his sister, Irene Parenteau; his children, Ricky McAlister, Debbie Sturtevant, ShariLee McAlister, Dana McAlister, Christopher McAlister, Dawn McAlister and Kerri-Ann Tully; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; and his siblings, Phylis Mascisso, Will McAlister, Robert L. McAlister, Elizabeth Scott and Dorothy Packard.
