DAMARISCOTTA — River Arts is inviting artists to submit up to three works for jurying in the upcoming show, “Figures, Photos & Forms.” Charlotte Davenhill of Tidemark Gallery in Waldoboro will jury this exhibition.
This show will feature the figure in all mediums with a special encouragement for photographers and sculptors to apply. All mediums including painting, drawing, print making, fiber arts photography and sculpture will be accepted for jurying. This show is open to the artists’ interpretations of the figure, including abstraction and realistic renderings.
Entry fee covers up to three works. Cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Works must be dropped off at River Arts for jurying no later than 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at the gallery, 241 U.S. Route 1. Works must be suitably wired for hanging and clearly labeled with artist’s name, phone number and title on the back.
Artists will be notified by email or phone of the juror’s decision. Entry forms are available online at riverartsme.org and at the gallery during regular business hours, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The opening reception for “Figures, Photos & Forms” is from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 8. The show will run until April 6.
