William Healey

LEWISTON — William “Bill” Healey, Lewiston’s chief assessor, was recently awarded the Residential Evaluation Specialist (RES) designation by the International Association of Assessing Officers, and is currently the only assessor in Maine who has that designation.

Healey will be recognized in the March 2019 issue of IAAO’s Fair & Equitable magazine. He became a candidate for designation in 2013 and has since passed five 30-hour IAAO courses, an 18-hour IAAO course, an 8-hour case study examination and a 4-hour master exam.

The RES professional designation is one of the highest honors to be achieved within the assessing profession. Healey has been employed by the city of Lewiston since 2015.
