Eileen T. O’Sullivan

AUBURN – Eileen T. O’Sullivan, 92, of Auburn and formerly of Megquier Hill Road in Poland, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2019, at the Clover Manor in Auburn. Born in New York City on August 21, 1926, she was the daughter of Michael and Julia Stanton O’Brien.

Educated in New York Schools, she was a graduate of Washington Irving High School. On Sept. 27, 1947, she married John L. O’Sullivan. They moved to Poland in 1990, and Mr. O’Sullivan passed away on May 18, 2011.

A devout Catholic, she was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was known for her hospitality, and enjoyed hosting guests. Eileen also enjoyed music, old movies, and books, and was especially fond of a good mystery.

Survivors include two sons, John of Stamford, Conn., and Patrick and wife Stacey of Jasper, Tenn., two daughters, Sheila Priola of Lewiston, and Maureen and husband Charles Hanna of Stamford, Conn.; ten grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters, Nora O’Sullivan in 1982, and Deborah Morrissey in 2002; a grandson, Timothy Hanna in 1999; a son-in-law, James Priola in 2008; three brothers, Timothy, Patrick, and Robert O’Brien, and a half sister, Mary O’Brien. Visitation will be held at the Albert & Burpee Funeral Home, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, on Monday, from 3 – 6 p.m. Services will be Tuesday, 11 a.m., at Holy Family Church.
