Nancy Kerrigan was outdone in the Olympic figure skating competition, not by Tonya Harding, but by an 16-year-old orphan from Ukraine. Kerrigan, who missed the U.S. national championships when she was clubbed by a man hired by Tonya Harding’s ex-husband, wasn’t complaining. The silver medal added to the bronze she won two years ago. “I think I skated great,” Kerrigan said. “I was smiling, I was happy, I was enjoying myself. I mean, how can I complain?” The Olympic gold medal went to Oxsana Bauil, and Harding, still under investigation back home in the Kerrigan assault, finished eighth.
