William Peck Brown

AUBURN – William Peck Brown, 56, passed away Feb. 22, 2019, at the Hospice House in Auburn. He was born July 2,1962 in Portland, the son of Joseph and Marilyn Brown of Minot.Billy was a longtime participant in the Special Olympics and was proud of his medals. He attended Madison Street School in Auburn and worked at Pathways for many years. He loved bowling, swimming and Rock and Roll. Billy lived with his parents until 2012 when they both moved into the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris. He then moved into a John F. Murphy Home and spent his last few days at the Hospice House in Auburn.Billy is survived by his brother Joseph Brown and significant other, Kathy Dixon; sisters, Sandra Piper and her husband Steven and Susan Morin; nieces, Kelly Henry and husband Chris and Jennifer Piper and significant other, John Vickery, nephews, Daniel Brown and wife Wendy, James Piper and wife Kristen, Jason Piper and wife Jill, Nicholas Piper and wife Syrena and Scot Dixon; cousins, Ashley Hawkins, Amber Henderson, Daniel Millett, Ethan Brown, Austin Brown, Oliver Brown, Emily Piper, Callum Piper, Kali Dixon, Blaine Dixon; and several second cousins.He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marilyn Brown; and nephew Shane Dixon.The family would like to thank the staff at John F. Murphy Homes, Pathways and TWAROG programs for the care they provided.Graveside services will be held in the spring. Arrangements are under the care of Chandler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
