You’re cell phone is ringing but you don’t recognize the number. Half your brain wants to answer the call and find out what it’s all about. The other half thinks the first half is absolutely nuts — answering a call from an unrecognized number is like opening your door to a shifty and annoying stranger. Maybe the caller is a long lost friend who wants to get reacquainted. More likely, it’s a robo call: a chipper voice offering help with your mortgage. Or a stern voice warning you that your student debt is out of control, and never mind that you never even went to college. Answer that call? We don’t think so. And we’d like to hear about the lengths you go to in order to avoid robo calls and other nuisances that come with unfamiliar numbers on your so-called smart phone.
