AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library has announced children’s events.

Sprouts: 10 a.m. Saturdays, March 9, 23 and 30, in the Children’s Room. For babies through 36 months and their caregivers. Gather on the story quilt with Heather for songs, nursery rhymes and dancing.

Tiny Tunes: 10 a.m. Mondays, March 11, 18 and 25, in the Maggie Trafton Room. Staff welcomes babies, toddlers and preschoolers for a music and movement program.

Preschool Story Time: 10 a.m. Wednesdays, March 6, 13, 20 and 27, in the Children’s Room. Stories, stories, songs and a craft for children ages 3 to 5.

Saturday Stories: 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Children’s Room. Volunteer Judy D’Amour leads children in interactive stories, rhymes, songs, creative dramatics and a craft. The program is best for children from 2 to 6 years. All are welcome.

KIDS! Read to a Dog: 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, March 12, 19 and 26, in the Children’s Room. Meet Michael Fralich and his therapy dog, Mocha. Sign up to read to Mocha. Call 207-333-6640, ext. 3, to register.

KIDS! Tinker Tuesday Make Oobleck: 4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 12, in the Maggie Trafton Program Room. In honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday, children are invited to listen to Bartholomew and the Oobleck and create their own Oobleck. All materials are provided. The program is best for ages 5 to 12. KIDS! Music Together Demonstration!: 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28, in the Maggie Trafton Program Room. Caroline Coffin will present a free demonstration of Music Together, a research-based music and movement program that supports the musical development of babies, toddlers, preschoolers and their caregivers. The program is for ages 0 to 5. Space is limited. To register, call 207-333-6640, ext. 3.

KIDS! Music Together Rhythm Kids: 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28, in the Children’s Room. Join Caroline Coffin in singing chanting and moving to the beat. The program is best for ages 4 to 8 and their caregivers.

KIDS! Wednesday Crafternoon Tissue Paper Flowers: 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, in the Children’s Room. Best for children in grades kindergarten to six. They will create flowers out of tissue paper in anticipation of spring.

Coming in April, Family Place Play and Learn: 10 to 11:15 a.m. Fridays in April, in the Maggie Trafton Room. As part of the Family Place Initiative, the library will hold a free parenting/playgroup series for parents and their children ages 1 to 3. Play and Learn is designed to familiarize parents and their children ages 12 to 36 months with library and community services. Play, sing, create a craft and have fun. Community resource professionals will discuss topics such as reading readiness, dental health, nutrition, physical fitness and behavior.
