Emily Cain
LEWISTON — A talk by Emily Cain titled “Welcome to the New Normal,” about more women getting into politics, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at Bates College.
Cain is executive director of the national political advocacy group Emily’s List. An Orono resident and doctoral candidate at the University of Maine, she is a five-term state legislator, during which she was the youngest female House minority leader.
Her talk is sponsored by Bates’ Harward Center for Community Partnerships. Her presentation will be in the Edmund S. Muskie Archives, 70 Campus Ave. It is free.
