Kody Moretto, a junior captain with the Mexico Fire Department, gives high-fives to Meroby Elementary School kindergartners Thursday during National Fire Prevention Week. Moretto and firefighter Jamee Theriault showed a video on fire safety and explained how to be safe during a fire and how to prevent fires. Moretto explained his gear and said it is important children not be scared if they see a fully quipped firefighter at their home.
