Karen Simpson honored  with award

AUGUSTA — Supreme Court Chief Justice Leigh I. Saufley has announced that Karen Simpson, administrative clerk at the Violations Bureau in Lewiston, is a recipient of a Maine Judicial Branch Performance Council’s Career Performance Award for 2019. The award honors individuals who “consistently contribute above and beyond expected job responsibilities to further the mission of the Judicial Branch.”

Simpson, whose career at the Judicial Branch has spanned several decades, was recognized for her exemplary dedication, work ethic, leadership and commitment to the Judicial Branch’s mission.

 

Cribbage League results announced

LEWISTON — Cribbage results for the Lewiston Senior Cribbage League for the week of Dec. 19 are:

First place, Roger Labbe and Roger St. Pierre ; second place, Anita Maheux and Stan Tetenman; third place, Val Madore and Terry Parent; fourth place, Carol Laplante and Connie Pleau; and fifth place, Maurice Fournier and Ron Maheux.

The Lewiston Senior cribbage league play is on Thursday mornings at 9 a.m. Players are encouraged to come early for practice play. The Lewiston Armory/Lewiston Senior Center is located at 60 Central Ave., Lewiston. Doors open at 8 a.m. FMI: call Roger Labbe at 207-212-9253
