Stanley Museum in Kingfield recently donated a set of “The Stanleys: Renaissance Yankees” for each of the three SAD 58 elementary schools. Teachers will use the biographical texts to teach local history and the science of steam power. They will also use the museum’s website to engage students in Maine history and Yankee ingenuity and share lesson plans with the Stanley Museum to aid other Maine teachers. Students will visit the museum in the spring.
