AUBURN — Three staff members have tested positive for COVID-19 at Bolster Heights Residential Care, an 84-bed assisted living facility in Auburn.

Nirav Shah, director of the Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, announced the outbreak during his regular news briefing Tuesday. Bolster Heights also notified families and posted information about the outbreak on its Facebook page.

Bolster Heights is owned by Central Maine Healthcare. According to CMHC , the three cases were discovered Friday as part of universal testing. All three staff members were symptom free.

No residents have tested positive. Residents will be retested this week and again weekly for the next two weeks, according to the Facebook post.

Staff members will be retested every three days.

Bolster Heights has increased disinfection of the building and screening of residents and staff. It has also switched from surgical masks to N-95 masks.
