Doris Yvonne Martin

LEWISTON – On Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, Doris Yvonne Martin passed away with family by her side after a long fight with Alzheimer’s.

Doris was a devoted mother of five children, and a loving wife and best friend to her husband, Armand Martin, married on June 26, 1948. Although she was widowed in 1975, she lived every day with him in her heart. She was a pioneer in her own right. A widow at 46, single mother of her five kids, a small business owner of Drapeau’s Costume Shop, avid member of her church, child of the depression era, international traveler and warrior for her faith.

Doris was the mother of five children; Richard Martin and wife Patty, Dennis Martin and wife Jeanne, Lucien Martin and wife Patricia, Janice Martin Nadeau and Karen Martin.

She was also a devoted grandmother of 11 grandchildren; Timothy, Amy, Katy, Nathan, Olivia, Zach, Michelle, Lyndsay, Amanda, Brittany and Tammy, and four great-grandchildren; to Krystal, Milo, Emma and Mallory. Doris was predeceased by her parents Germain and Thomas Morin, husband Armand Martin and granddaughter Tammy Martin.

She will be greatly missed beyond any words.
