Ronald E. Dan

ROCKPORT – Ronald E. Dan, 72, of Union passed away at Pen Bay Hospital on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, following declining health. He was born in Farmington on Dec. 29, 1948, the first son of Conrad and Bessie Dan. He was educated in Auburn schools and later followed his father’s footsteps by becoming a hand sewer and worked at local Auburn shoe shops, until the time of his disability. Ron could be seen throughout Lewiston Auburn riding his scooter on any given day. Ron also loved music, especially the Beatles and playing his guitar. In his later years he also became quite a wheeler and dealer in the assisted living homes that he lived in. Ron is at peace now.

Ron was predeceased by both of his parents and is survived by his only sibling, a brother, Larry and wife Karen Dan of Sumner, nieces and nephew, Cindy Dan and partner Sam Stone of Minot, Jessica and husband Gregory Dussault of Sumner and Brent and wife Kristy Dan of Turner. Family would like to thank all the staff at Crawford Commons, especially, Holly, Dionne, Angie, and Megan. Family would also like to thank the wonderful nurses and doctors at Pen Bay Hospital for their care and compassion.

A graveside committal service will be held in the spring at Gracelawn Memorial Park in Auburn.
