Christopher W. Perry

LEWISTON – Christopher W. Perry, 46, of Rumford passed away on Wednesday Feb. 3, 2021 at CMMC in Lewiston due to a massive heart attack.

He was born in Rumford on June 7, 1974, a son of Marion and Regine (LeBlanc) Perry Smith. He loved growing up in Rumford, more specifically the “old” neighborhood. He made many childhood and high school friends. He remained close to them to this day. He adored his grandfather and spending time with him and his Uncle Ray at LeBlanc’s General Store in Roxbury Village as well as the family camp on Roxbury Pond.

In his 20s, Chris moved to North Carolina where he married Linda Perry. Together they had their son, Tyler, who was his pride and joy. He also raised his stepson, Michael Isner.

He was quick to volunteer his services to anyone in need, whether it be a friend after surgery, rides to the store and Italian Bakery or babysitting a helmet wearing buddy. He was always ready with a helping hand, but most especially with his mom, who was his #1 priority. He and his live-in girlfriend, Jodi, enjoyed trips to the coast, mountains, shows and concerts. They also like hosting BBQ’s where Chris was the grill master and everyone reaped the rewards. He was also the rolling master. Everyone reaped those rewards too.

His passion was for music. You could always find him strumming a guitar or spinning records on an old turntable. He will be sadly missed by many.

He is survived by his mother, Regine L. Perry Smith; his son, Tyler Perry, and his stepson, Michael Isner. He also leaves behind his brother, Stephen M. Perry, his three stepbrothers, Jeffrey Smith (Tammy), Terrence Smith (Laurie) and Wayne Smith (Megan); along with his longtime companion, Jodi Campbell.

He was predeceased by his father, Marion W. Perry, and his stepfather, Terrence A. Smith.
