ORONO — Maine allowed a nine-point lead to disappear in the fourth quarter, then held UMass Lowell to one free throw in the final three minutes as the Black Bears pulled out a 53-51 women’s basketball win Sunday afternoon for their ninth straight victory.

Blanca Millan capped a 27-point performance by sinking two free throws with 1:44 remaining, giving Maine (14-1, 11-1 America East) a 52-51 lead. Fanny Wadling made one free throw with 1.6 seconds left, and Millan blocked a shot by UMass Lowell at the buzzer.

Millan was the only player in double figures for the Black Bears. Dor Saar had nine points and six assists.

Denise Solis paced Lowell (9-8, 8-6) with 17 points.

(17) INDIANA 85, IOWA 72: Mackenzie Holmes of Gorham scored 25 points and Ali Patberg added 23 as the Hoosiers (11-4, 9-2 Big Ten) defeated the Hawkeyes (10-6, 6-6) in Iowa City, Iowa.

Holmes also grabbed 13 rebounds.

(7) TEXAS A&M 69, (16) ARKANSAS 67: Kayla Wells had a season-high 21 points and Jordan Nixon made a layup with eight seconds remaining to lift the Aggies (18-1, 9-1 SEC) over the Razorbacks (14-7, 4-6) in College Station, Texas.

(8) BAYLOR 64, KANSAS STATE 52: NaLyssa Smith scored 17 points, and the visiting Bears (14-2, 9-1 Big 12) beat the Wildcats (5-11, 0-9) for the 35th straight time.

(11) OHIO STATE 83, MINNESOTA 59: Dorka Juhasz and Aaliyah Patty each had double-doubles as the Buckeyes (11-2, 7-2 Big Ten) rolled past the visiting Golden Gophers (5-8, 4-7).

(20) DEPAUL 87, MARQUETTE 82: Deja Church scored a career-high 24 points and Sonya Morris added 23, including a layup with 26 seconds left that helped the Blue Demons (10-4, 7-2 Big East) hold off the Golden Eagles (12-4, 9-3) in Milwaukee.

(22) NORTHWESTERN 63, MICHIGAN STATE 60: Lindsey Pulliam scored 22 points, Veronica Burton added 19 and the Wildcats (11-3, 9-3 Big Ten) beat the Spartans (10-5, 5-5) in East Lansing, Michigan, after blowing a 21-point lead.

INDIANA 67, (8) IOWA 65: Armaan Franklin made a 15-footer with 1.8 seconds left, giving the Hoosiers (10-8, 5-6 Big Ten) a win over the Hawkeyes (13-6, 7-5) in Bloomington, Indiana.

VALPARAISO 74, (25) DRAKE 57: Ben Krikke scored 15 points as Valparaiso (7-12, 4-6 Missouri Valley) upset visiting Drake (18-1, 9-1).
