LEWISTON – Barbara G. Caron, 86, our beautiful, loving, caring, giving, selfless, bread-making mother, passed away unexpectedly at CMMC Friday, Feb. 5, 2021.

She was born Oct. 10, 1934, in Lewiston, the daughter of Joseph and Margaret (Moore) Pinette. She married Leo R. Caron, July 28, 1956. Together they built a beautiful life and resided in a big beautiful farmhouse, that daddy restored on his own.

Barbara graduated from Lewiston High School in 1952. She attended CMVTI for nursing school and worked at St. Mary’s Hospital as an LPN for 30 years.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church. Here she found fulfillment helping with city mission meals and bean suppers. Always willing with a helping hand.

Survivors include her daughters, Lisa Delorme (Don Hersom) of Lewiston, Heidi-Sue Stuart of Lisbon, and Bonnie-Jo Carr (Terry) of Auburn; son, Scott Caron (Wendy Mason) of Durham; her grandchildren, Melissa, Sarah, Meghan, Beth, Jordan, and Austin; great-grandchildren, Evan, Lacie, Ella, Hannah, Connor, Gavin, and Eli; brother, Bruce Pinette; sisters, Diane Prock and Susan Leeman.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Joan Pinette, her son-in-law, Conrad Delorme, and grandchildren, Hannah Brooke Stuart and Corey Coburn.

Barbara will always be remembered as making someone feel good by giving them one of her delicious homemade breads. She will truly be missed by all.

The family will have a graveside service and celebration this summer.
