Anita (Taglienti) Alvino

FARMINGTON – Anita (Taglienti) Alvino, 96, a longtime resident of Livermore Falls, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021 at Orchard Park Rehabilitation and Living Center. She was born Oct. 18, 1924 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of John Taglienti, Sr. and Italia (Lucarelli) Taglienti.

Anita was educated in the Livermore Falls schools. On Oct. 14, 1946 she married Charles “Chick” Alvino at the St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, he passed away on Nov. 8, 2001.

Anita worked as a teller for the Livermore Trust Company for over 40 years. Anita was a communicant of the St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the American Legion George Bunton Post #10 in Livermore Falls and The Former Sons of Italy in Chisholm. Anita enjoyed attending Mass at St. Rose, cooking and baking Italian foods, family time, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing beano, attending sporting events where members of her family participated, taking trips to the ocean and time with her friends.

She is survived by her son, Michael Alvino and his wife Roxanne Eflin of Colorado Springs, Colo., her daughter, Barbara Marston and her husband Arnold of Jay; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, Anthony Alvino and his wife Krystle of Merrimack, NH, their children, Gavinn, Andrea, Lilyanna and Brynlee; Kate Alvino Kennedy and her husband Matt of Gilbert, Ariz., their children Evelyn, Ethan and Benjamin; David Matthews and his wife Cassadi of Lakewood, Colo., their children Madison and Maverick, Ryan Labbe of Jay; Kimberly Lloyd and her husband Peter of Wilton, their children, Tyler, Zachary, and Liliana; Ryan Marston and his wife Tracey of Saco, their children, Aiden and Taylor; Jason Marston and his wife Naomi of Livermore, their children, Amy and Bryce; her brother, John Taglienti, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. Anita was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 55 years, Charles “Chick” Alvino, and her sister, Louise Terreri.

A private service will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine. Public visitation will be held from 4-7pm, Thursday, May 6, at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Interment will be in the spring at Holy Cross Cemetery, 445 Park Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. The service will be available on the Finley Funeral Home Facebook page on May 7th at 11am.
