Clifford “Kippy” Eugene Daniels

SOUTH PARIS – Clifford “Kippy” Eugene Daniels, 82, of Livermore Falls, passed away on Feb. 12, 2021 at Maine Veterans Home in South Paris, following a long struggle with Parkinson’s disease.

Cliff was born March 21, 1939, son of Eugene and Lillian (Gesner) Daniels. Cliff attended Oxford High School, Oxford, graduating in 1957. He attended Farmington State Teachers College and Bliss Business College in Lewiston.

Cliff was a very humble and loving soul that married the love of his life Karen Taylor on Nov. 7, 1959. Cliff joined the U.S. Marines before college from July 1957 to July 1965.

Cliff had a love of basketball, playing sports from Jr. High thru high school at Oxford Jr. High School and Oxford High School coached by Everette “Tinker” Day and his love of Boston Celtics was well known.

Cliff was raised in Oxford and moved to the Bay Area of California for 40 years when he was in his late twenties with his wife Karen and raised their three children in California. Once Cliff retired, he and Karen with their youngest son eventually moved back to Maine. Cliff was an incredibly hard working man that worked for Sysco Food Corp. for 30 years, ten years in sales and 20 years in warehouse management.

Cliff is survived by his wife of 61 years, Karen Taylor Daniels; his two sons, Scott Daniels of Fremont, Calif. and Christopher Daniels of Castro Valley, Calif., his daughter, Penny Jo Daniels of Bridgton; his brother, Michael Daniels of Otisfield and his sister, Sylvia Kyllonen and husband Walter of York. He was predeceased by his parents.
