DIXFIELD — The Town Office in Dixfield has been closed temporarily after two employees tested positive for COVID-19, according to Town Manager Dustin Starbuck.

Starbuck said Monday he will be tested Tuesday morning.

“We’ll see where we’ll go from there, but right now we need to close the Town Office so that we limit exposures,” Starbuck said Monday night during an online meeting of the Select Board.

He said there is a sign on the front door at the Town Office that reads “Closed until further notice.”

“As long as no one is showing symptoms, we’ll be able to open back up on March 1,” Starbuck said. “If I turn up negative, then I’ll be back in the office, but the other two (employees) won’t, so we’ll be running limited services.”
