Claudette M. Gorey

LEWISTON – Claudette M. Gorey, 70, of Lewiston, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes at her home on Friday, Feb. 19, 2021.

She was born in Lewiston on May 4, 1950, the daughter of the late Louis P. and Juliette (St. Marie) Roberge and was a resident of this community all of her life.

She graduated from Lewiston High School Class of 1968. Claudette’s most recent employment was at Sears in Lewiston, but when her children were young she was a stay at home Mom.

Although Claudette kept to herself, she loved going out to eat, shopping and seeing her grandchildren. She adored her grandchildren and lit up when hearing about them or visiting with them.

She is survived by her son Jeffrey Gorey and her daughter Cynthia Gagnier and her husband Corey Gagnier, all of Lewiston; four grandchildren Kaylee Gorey, Caleb Gorey, Josie Gagnier and Macie Gagnier; two brothers Robert Roberge and his wife Norma Roberge of Lewiston and Roger Roberge of Sabattus and his late wife Lorraine Roberge; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Mass honoring Claudette’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021 from 5-8 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
