Hunt named to Le Moyne College dean’s list

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Le Moyne College has named Kaitlin Hunt, a first-year nursing major from Monmouth, to its fall 2020 dean’s list.

To make the list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above.


McMillan part of St. Lawrence University Fed Challenge team

CANTON, N.Y. — St. Lawrence University student Samuel McMillan of Rangeley was a member of the university’s Fed Challenge team that earned second place out of 85 colleges and universities in the 17th annual National College Fed Challenge.

McMillan is a member of the Class of 2021 and is majoring in economics and business in the liberal arts.

The Fed Challenge competition encourages students to learn about the U.S. economy, monetary policymaking and the role of the Federal Reserve System. St. Lawrence was the only liberal arts college to earn a spot in the final round.


University of Rhode Island names Blanco to dean’s list

KINGSTON, R.I. — The University of Rhode Island has announced the fall 2020 dean’s list, which includes the following area students:

Gabrielle Blanco of Winthrop, Emilie Burrill of Topsham, Ashley Childs of Norway, Alana Cobb of Raymond, Emma Davidson of Oxford, Taylor Dostie of Durham, Morgan Fenderson of Lisbon Falls, Jazmine Fournier of Lewiston, Alyssa Hall of Lisbon Falls, Haley Leavitt of Livermore Falls, Evan Stone of Wilton and Emily Terranova of New Gloucester.

To be included on the dean’s list, full-time students must have completed 12 or more credits for letter grades during a semester and achieved at least a 3.30 quality point average.


Hanover student makes Dickinseon dean’s list

CARLISLE, Pa. — Chaia Alford, a first-year student at Dickinson College, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2020 semester. A graduate of Gould Academy, she is the daughter of Doug and Andee Alford of Hanover.


Area students make University of Hartford honor list

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. — The following area students have been named to the University of Hartford president’s honors list for fall 2020: Blake Colby of Raymond, Brianna Warren of Casco and Bethany Welch of Auburn.

The list is made up of a select group of students who earned a grade point average of 3.75 or higher in the semester.
