Travis Donald Bosse

LEWISTON – Travis Donald Bosse, 35, of Lewiston died suddenly on Sunday, March 7, 2021. His family is shocked and deeply saddened by their unexpected loss.

Travis was born on Jan. 9, 1986 to Linda (Garant) Cote and Donald R. Bosse. He attended Holy Cross School and graduated from Lewiston High School in 2004. Travis went on to earn a certificate in Collision Repair & Refinishing from Nashville Auto Diesel Technical College in 2005. When he returned to Maine, he was easy to spot in his custom green and purple Acura Integra with suicide doors and airbrushed interior. He was a dedicated worker and took great pride in what he did, especially his recent endeavors in an electrician apprenticeship program.

Though he had struggled with opioid use disorder for over a decade, he recently celebrated six months in recovery and was very proud of that achievement. Anyone who knew Travis, knew that he had a big heart and was willing to put his big muscles and various handy skills to good use: fixing cars, moving things, painting, etc. He loved lifting weights, playing board games with Isabella, building projects with Bentley, and Friday night pizza with Katie and the kids.

Travis leaves behind his son, Bentley Bosse of Lisbon, long-time girlfriend Katie Moran, their daughter Isabella and Katie’s daughter Kiana of Sabattus; mother Linda L. Cote and stepfather Gilles E. Cote of Lewiston, father Donald R. Bosse and stepmother Susan Bosse of Brooksville, Fla.; brother Jordon and his wife Erica Bosse of Milford, Mass., sister Danielle and her husband Nicholas Roy of Standish; and stepsiblings Jennifer Cote and her fiancée Charles Cole III of Sabattus, Jessica Cote of Lewiston, and Jarrod Cote and his girlfriend Zelene Gómez of San Diego, Calif.; grandfather J. Normand Garant of Lewiston; and a clan of cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews, and nieces; as well as good friends Lyndsey Davis, Mike G., Steve, and Roger. Travis was predeceased by his maternal grandmother Pauline Garant, and paternal grandparents Gerard and Fleurange Bosse. His family will miss him, his smile, and bear hugs more than words can say.

His family would like to thank the staff at local treatment facilities (St. Mary’s D-4, St. Francis House), Piers Kaniuka for introducing him to Rockland Recovery a wider range of recovery tools, and the local 12-Step community whose experience, strength, and hope he benefitted from. We are also grateful for the support and flexibility of the leadership at the local IBEW#567 when he was struggling with his addiction. The electrician apprenticeship gave him a sense of purpose and taught him a skill he truly loved and took great pride in.

The visitation will be held on Friday, March 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dillingham, Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home in Lewiston and a service to celebrate Travis’ life will take place on Saturday, March 13 at 11 a.m. at the Basilica of Saints Peter & Paul.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be put into a fund for Travis’ children be sent to:  Bosse Family PO Box 2477  Lewiston, ME 04240
