Terry Dean Buck

DELAND, Fla. – Terry Dean Buck, 65, of Turner, passed away suddenly at the Advent Health Hospital in Deland, Fla. on Feb. 25, 2021. He was born Feb. 18, 1956 in Bethlehem, N.H. to Carroll (Squeak) and Pat Buck.

Terry was larger than life and generous to a fault. He was well respected and loved by many friends, business associates and family.

Terry was a hard worker beginning as a small boy working with his Dad in the woods logging. As he grew he juggled school with work in construction.

Graduating from Fryeburg Academy, he began his construction career with Cianbro Construction followed with Nalews, R.C. Foss, Wincon, Northern Constructors, Beaver Corp., then established T Buck Construction in Conway, N.H. As the company grew he then moved to Bridgton, onto Lewiston-Auburn, and now was located in Turner as a thriving construction company which he loved and was very proud of. During this time he also purchased a Welding Co. in Lewiston eventually moving to Auburn as Global Metal and Fab.

His favorite hobby in early years was skiing at his beloved Shawnee Peak in Bridgton. He had a racing ski team meeting every week. He enjoyed snowmobiling, traveling, and spending time at his home on the lake with all his kids and grandkids. But his top favorite in life was his cars. He loved going to the car shows and The Barrett Jackson and The Mecum Auctions and collecting many of his favorites.

Terry was so generous and kind. He loved life and willing to help those in need.

Terry is survived by his wife Jane of 27 years, having a full and happy life together cut way too short. He did spend some time in his beautiful home in Florida. His dream and goal was to finally retire there.

He is also survived by his children, Sarah McGuinness and husband Shawn of Rutland, Mass., Melissa Ferland of Poland, Tim Hiltz and wife Georgia of Buxton; five grandchildren, Maggie Ferland and partner Nathan St. Laurent, Allison Ferland, Brayden, Dillon and Logan Hiltz; sisters, Cindy Fox and husband Peter of Stoneham, Vicki Pike and husband Steve of Waterford, brother, Carroll Buck and partner Dawn Kidder; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles.
