The children’s book “Snuggie Bear goes to the Maine Wildlife Park,” by Cynthia D. Grimm with illustrations by Peri Broadbent, is featured for the month of March in the Storywalk along the Riverwalk in Auburn. The Storywalk begins on the panels at Bonney Park and finishes at Festival Plaza on Main Street.

Both Grimm and Broadbent are Maine natives and the book features the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray.

In October of 2019, the City of Auburn, in collaboration with LA Arts, announced the completion of the “Storywalk” project along Auburn’s Riverwalk. The project includes eight durable display cases, which can be found between Festival Plaza and Bonney Park. They showcase different “art and culture” pieces each month. The displays which are changed monthly by the Auburn Recreation Department.

If you have an idea for a future Storywalk, please reach out to Auburn Recreation Director Sabrina Best at sbest@auburnmaine.gov or (207) 333-6611.
