James “Jim” A. Jellison

JAY – James “Jim” A. Jellison, 90, a resident of Jay passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 14, 2021 at his home. He was born August 26, 1930 in Farmington, the son of Bertie T. Jellison and Minnie (Hildreth) Jellison. Educated in Wilton, he then enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1948 and retired as Chief Hospital Corpsman on August 1, 1977. Following retirement from the Navy, he worked for MSAD#52 as a bus driver for special needs children and in the maintenance department until his retirement in 2000. On Nov. 27, 1963, in Monmouth, he married Mary E. Berry.Jim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping with his family. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife, often visiting family and friends during their vacations. Later in life, he found the joy of golfing and was on the Jay-Livermore seniors travel team. Jim also enjoyed bowling and was on a bowling team in East Wilton for several years.He is survived by his wife, Mary Jellison of Jay, sons, Alan Jellison and wife Karen of Auburn and Kenneth Jellison and wife Linda of Auburn, daughters, Tammy Manno of Chesapeake, Va., Karen Levesque and fiancé Warren Walton of Turner, Cindy Skeffington and husband Jason of Schroon Lake, N.Y.; grandchildren, James Manno, Brittney Manno, Travis Jellison, Kevin Levesque and wife Katie, Jessica Levesque and partner Derek Bunker, and twins, Libby and Haley Skeffington; and two great-grandchildren, Deaglan and Chase. He was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Milton Jellison, Roy Woodman and Bobby Jellison; and grandson, Kenneth Mark Jellison, Jr.The family would like to thank the staff of Androscoggin Home Hospice, and specifically Susan, Luanne and Michelle, for the wonderful care and support to Jim and his family.
