Travis James McLaughlin

GREENWOOD – Travis James McLaughlin, 32, of Norway, passed away due to injuries sustained in a car accident, Sunday March 7, 2021. Travis was born Feb. 23, 1989, the son of Kathy

Elizabeth McLaughlin and Peter James Kelley. Travis attended local schools, graduating from Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, class of 2007. After graduation Travis had worked as a Jack of all trades including carpentry, woodsman, snow shoveling, and dishwasher at both the Sunday River Brew Pub and Modern Barn in Bethel.

Travis enjoyed fishing, hunting, working, and sleeping, as well as mining, rock hunting, gardening, and playing hard. He loved family and friends and the time he spent with them.

He is survived by his mother Kathy of Norway; a sister Kristy Elizabeth McLaughlin; an incredibly special niece Karley Elizabeth Skinner; uncles Tony McLaughlin, Michael McLaughlin, Matt Kelley, Steve and Mary Jo Moore and Art Kelley; grandparents Christine and Dan Davis, Katherine Kelley and gramp Del Wilson; cousins Tyler McLaughlin, Courtney McLaughlin, Jason McLaughlin, Josh Moore, Nate Moore, and Jen Kelley Deane; and extended family Andy, Joe, Dale and Doug; and his cat Garfield. He was predeceased by grandfathers Richard McLaughlin and Art Kelley; as well as his dogs Solo and Bandit.

A private family Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 20, at 11 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 45 Main St., South Paris. Masks will be required, and social distancing guidelines will be followed. Those unable to attend can view the service on our website, http://www.chandlerfunerals.com under Travis’s obituary, you may also leave condolences for his family. A celebration of life and the burial will be held at a later date and time to be announced.
