HEBRON — Residents will consider a $900,000 municipal budget and elect six officials at Saturday’s annual Town Meeting at the Hebron Station School, starting at 10 a.m.

Voters will consider 60 articles, with 36 of them asking to raise and appropriate funds for the 2021 fiscal year for town services and area nonprofits.

The proposed budget is about 2.7% less than in 2020.

The largest request for money includes $150,000 for the paving account, $143,955 for the town office account, which is a nearly $12,000 increase, and $143,200 for the care and maintenance of winter roads, which is nearly $14,000 less than the previous year.

Articles also include asking approval of a food sovereignty ordinance and one to amend the Shoreland Zoning Ordinance.

Voters are asked to take $15,000 from the general fund to purchase and install new generators at the Town Office and the Fire Department’s Bruno Station.

Selectman Elizabeth Olsen is running for another three-year term. Other officers to be chosen are a trustee for Moody Library for three years, a School Administrative District 17 director for three years, two Budget Committee members and a road commissioner.

Residents will also be asked to approve $11,759.33 to cover overdrafts from 2020, most of which occurred in the Fire Department and the transfer station.
