Rhonda Iris (Jackson) Lavoie

AUBURN – Rhonda Iris (Jackson) LaVoie, 68, of Livermore, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn, following a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born Feb. 27, 1953 in Livermore, the daughter of Lewis W. Jackson and Eleanor (Fuller) Jackson. Rhonda was a “Navy Brat” and grew up in Portsmouth, R.I. Rhonda completed her schooling in Livermore Falls. On April 10, 1976 she married Kimberly LaVoie, they later divorced.

Rhonda worked as a department manager for many years at Kmart but her most important job was being a homemaker and taking care of her family. She was a Scentsy Consultant and enjoyed selling and attending conferences over the years. She used her Scentsy business to do many fundraisers.

She was a member of the North Livermore Baptist Church and the VFW Auxiliary and was a 4-H Leader. She was a big part of the AA community, helping others on their journey and she herself had just celebrated 17 years of sobriety.

Rhonda was very proud of her children and their accomplishments. She was a giving person and helped others in any way she could, even if it meant she went without. She loved to laugh and have fun with those she loved.

Rhonda is survived by her son, Paul LaVoie and his wife Erika of Newport Center, Vt.; her daughters, Terri Gorder and her husband Dennis of North Providence, R.I., Sara Frost and her husband George of Winthrop, Jessica Tessier and her husband John of Norton, Vt., and Kimberly Kerbo and her husband Mark of Farmington; eight grandchildren; a great-grandchild on the way; her sister, Elise Jackson of Livermore; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Linda Miller; her nephew, Richard Perry, two nieces, Kelly Ouellette and Amanda LaVoie; and a special uncle, Robert Fuller.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, May 28 at FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 27 at Finley Funeral Home.
