David T. Long

SEATTLE – David Theodore Long, 55, passed away March 15, 2021 peacefully after battling from a glioblastoma brain tumor in Seattle.

He was born on May 9, 1965, to Darrel and Carol Long from Turner. David graduated Leavitt Area High School and later at CMCC with a degree in electrical power and installation. He later became a licensed electrician and practiced in the State of Maine for over 30 years.

David and his family moved to Kent, Wash. where he worked as a service electrician for SeaTac Electric. He loved his job and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, fishing, playing poker and board games, four-wheeling, and snowmobiling. He was known for his gentle and kind spirit, great sense of humor, keen wit, and giant smile.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Long; daughter, Queen Megan Long, and son, Jeremy Long; sisters, Cindy Long, Terryville, Conn., Sue Levesque, Leeds, and brothers, Dan Long, Lewiston, Joseph Long, Henderson, Nev., and Jeff Long, Boston; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He leaves behind an incredible mark on all who knew him, but especially his family. We grieve at our loss but rejoice in the assurance that we will be reunited again one day.

A memorial service at Weeks’s Funeral Home in Buckley, Wash. will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 23.

In lieu of flowers, the family would greatly appreciate funeral expense donations, which could be made to family or to David’s GoFund Me account.
