SABATTUS – Phyllis W. Hall, 95, died on March 11, 2021 in the home she was born in on Sept. 6, 1925 in Sabattus. She was the daughter of Edward R. Wood and Abbie L. (Chadbourne) Wood.

She was a life member of Lakeside Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star in Sabattus as well as a dual member at Electa Chapter in Bowdoinham. She held various offices over her 70 years of membership and served as Worthy Matron a number of times. She was also a past Grand Representative and a former District Deputy Grand Matron for the Grand Chapter of Maine. She enjoyed visiting with all of the friends she made in various Chapters of the Order.

Prior to retiring, she worked at CMMC and for the office of Dr. Albert Shems. Once retired, she spent winters in Texas where she still has many friends she kept in contact with.

She was married to Stanley T. Spooner Jr. and Hollis W. Hall, who both predeceased her.

She is survived by her sons, Edward S. Spooner (Monika), Stephen A. Spooner (Cathy), Phillip L. Spooner and her daughter, Cynthia L. Holbrook (Lawrence). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husbands, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Monika (Littlefield) Spooner; and her three brothers, John, Raymond and Lester Wood.

At her request, there will not be any services.
