ROXBURY — A teenager reported missing since Monday evening was found safe Tuesday night in New York, according to Maine State Police.
Mackenzie Zitoli, 16, was unharmed and there were no additional details Wednesday about where she was found, according to Shannon Moss, public information officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Police from several agencies, including the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, had been searching for Zitoli, who was last seen around 10 p.m. Monday night at the Circle K convenience store and gas station in Bethel. Investigators said the girl was believed to be in the company of 26-year-old Tyler Streeter of New York.
