Popeye, the fearless feline, has a handsome round face with big cheeks. But, don’t reach in to pinch them. He won’t like it. You have to ease your way around him.

Nine year old Popeye has been taking care of himself for a long time. Living in the midst of humans is a new concept to him. His caregivers are helping him to learn to trust and he is doing much better now than when he first arrived at the shelter.

Popeye is adjusting. His perfect home is with people that will give him time and patience. You never know with cats like Popeye. He could become your next, new love

Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills is a no-kill, non-profit shelter and adoption center for cats and dogs, and the holding area for stray dogs for 12 towns in Oxford County. The shelter is located at 9 Swallow Road in Paris.

Anyone interested in adopting a pet from RPC can visit the shelter as follows: Monday and Tuesday closed; Wednesday and Thursday noon to 4 p.m.; Friday and Saturday noon to 5 p.m.; Sunday noon to 4 p.m.
