Mary Margaret Bordeau

MEXICO – Mary Margaret Bordeau, RN, 84, died Friday April 9, 2021 at her residence on Highland Terrace in Mexico. Born in Muenster, Texas on Sept. 5, 1936, she was the daughter of Dr. Thomas and Alvarene (Bradshaw) RN, Myrick.

She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Muenster, Texas and John Seely University School of Nursing in Galveston, Texas. Mary Margaret worked as a Registered Nurse specializing in Obstetrics. She worked at Rumford Community Hospital for over 20 years and Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was well-loved and highly regarded by her colleagues and maternity patients as she helped deliver each baby with love and care.

She is survived by her children, Paula and Jerry Wyman of Poway, Calif., Rene and Michael Parsons of Rumford, James Michael and Beth of Mexico, Thomas of Rumford, Joseph of Peru; her baby brother James and Jane Myrick of Lindsay, Texas; grandchildren Eric, Dan, Thomas, Justin, Chelsea, Jean-Luc, and Jessica Bordeau, Justin and Danielle Wyman, Robyn Raymond and Frank Parsons, Charles Wing-Thomas, Kaleb Gatchell and Kristie Hansen; great-grandchildren Ben, Blake, and Bradley Bordeau, Forrest and Miles Raymond, Oliver Parsons, Bruin and Audrie Farr, and Freya Gatchell.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Daniel; her parents; best friend Marlene Giberson; her sister Pauline (Sissy) Pat Stelzer of Muenster, and her brother John and Billye Myrick of Florida.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Wednesday April 14, 2021 at the Parish of the Holy Savior St Athanasius St John Church. Masks will be required and we will be following social distancing. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home 3 Franklin St Rumford, Maine.
