Carlene Myrtle Brown Pare

POLAND – “God looked around his garden and found an empty space, then he looked down upon this earth and saw your tired face. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest, God’s garden must be beautiful, he only takes the best. “

Carlene Pare of Poland passed away on April 7, 2021, after a tragic fall. Born in Lewiston on July 22, 1937, she was the daughter of Carl F. and Myrtle (Abbott) Brown. She grew up in Auburn, graduated from Edward Little High and Charm School in 1955. In her early years she worked in the office at Hillcrest Poultry, in the Central Supply Room of CMMC, and in the office of Lewiston Hardware.

Met and married Gerald Pare and settled in East Poland. Together they remodeled an old house over a 100-years old and raised their four children. When the children were all in school, she drove school bus for Poland and Minot retiring 20 years later. She also worked evenings at Goodwill Industries for 15 years. She was a member of Grace Community Church where she served as a deaconess. She enjoyed crafts, knitting, crocheting, counted cross stitch, sewing everything from clothes to quilts and helping people in need.

Survived by four children: a daughter, Leilani, of Florida, three sons, Anthony and wife Sherry of Minot, Scott of Greene and Daniel of Poland; two granddaughters, Bianca and husband, Devon Leon, and Emily Tenorio both of Florida; four grandsons, Brandon and fiancé, Meagan Britt of Connecticut, Christopher and girlfriend, Kelly Chrystal of Wisconsin, and Adam and Aaron of Greene; one great-grandson, Marcus Leon, of Florida and three great-granddaughters, identical twins, Cassandra and Abigail, of Wisconsin and Caroline, of Connecticut.

She was predeceased by her husband, parents and three brothers, Warren, Gordon (Bucky) and Freddy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
