AREA — The Bethel Conservation Commission and the Woodstock Conservation Commission will host a Green Up Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 1, at Davis Park. Participants will go to various locations to pick up trash, returning to the park where trash will be collected to taken to the dump. To make the trash collecting a bit more fun for children and adults with a playful heart there a scavenger hunt and trash bingo located at the Chamber, grocery store and town office. Return completed game sheets to be eligible for a prize.

The event is for  anyone who wants to take pride in their community and help to clean up trash along the roadways. Organizers encourage  everyone to walk the roads, not only for some exercise and to enjoy this wonderful Spring weather, but to pick up trash along the way. Bring multiple bags, one for trash and another for cans and bottles.
