Carlton J. Plourde

LEWISTON – Carlton J. Plourde, 79, of Lewiston, Maine, passed away on March 20, 2021, at Winship Green Nursing Center in Bath, Maine. He was born in Fort Kent, Maine, on Nov. 23, 1941, a son of the late Dennis and Mary (Cyr) Plourde. He was formerly married to Jeannette (Morin) Plourde. He first worked at Knapp Shoe Factory. He then went on to work in New York as an Iron Worker. He later came back to Maine and worked at and retired from Bath Iron Works. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 618. Carlton was a sweet and gentle soul. He loved to play cards, dance, loved to sing, and listen to country music. He enjoyed a good joke and was always smiling. He also loved spending time with family, especially with his brothers and sisters.

Carlton is survived by a sister: Priscilla Smith of Brooksville, Florida, a sister in law: Debra L Matchett-Plourde of Lisbon Falls, Maine, a brother-in-law: Hank Dupuis of Lisbon, Maine, and lots of nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Jeannette, three sisters: Cora Donahue, Rita Plourde, and an infant sister named Rita Plourde, six brothers: Roger, Rodrick, Raynold, Richard, Harold and Robert Plourde.

There will be a graveside committal memorial service on May 6, 2021 at Gracelawn Memorial Park; 980 Turner Street Auburn, Maine, at 11 a.m.
