Charlene A. Moore

SOUTH PARIS – Charlene A. Moore, 76, of Norway, died Monday at the Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.

She was born in Portland, Dec. 13, 1944, the daughter of Charles and Mildred St. Jernquist Rickett. She attended local schools and had been married for 28 years to William Moore Jr., and while he served in the Army for 20 years, she was a homemaker and military wife. Charlene enjoyed crocheting and making afghans for her grandchildren. She loved Christmas and hosting it at her house. Family was the most important part of her life, her children and grandchildren. Tanner and Coty remember Nana watching them when they were little.

Charlene is survived by her daughters, Vikki Curtis and her husband Dana of South Berwick, Cheryl Herrick and her husband Toby of Norway; her son, William and his wife Lisa of Oxford; grandchildren Nicholas, Ethan, Nichelle, Coty, Tanner, Jaclyn and her husband Jake, Taylor and Ryan; three great-grandchildren, Ally, Bodhi and Georgia. A celebration of Charlene’s life will be held Friday, May 7, from 1-3 p.m., at Chandler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 45 Main Street, South Paris. Private interment will be in Riverside Annex Cemetery, South Paris.

Masks are required and we will be following all CDC guidelines.
