PATTEN – Linda H. Nightingale, 71, died May 3, 2021, with her family at her side, in Patten. She was born Jan. 30, 1950, in Rumford, the daughter of Audrey Hodge. She was a longtime school bus driver for Katahdin schools and enjoyed knitting, crafting, gardening, solving puzzles, and caring for her family and pets. She is survived by her son, Dr. Christopher Nightingale and his wife Heather of Hampden, Maine; her sister, Cathy Corbin of Livermore Falls, Maine; and her brother Scott Lingley and his wife Neta of Dedham, Maine; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband, Carroll Nightingale and her mother. Services will be held Saturday, May 8, at 2 p.m., at the Bowers Funeral Home in Island Falls with the Reverend Regginald Adams officiating. Covid restrictions will be strictly adhered to. Interment will be at a later date in New Sharon.
