Jean M. Johnson

CAMBRIDGE – Jean M. Johnson, 88, died on May 10, 2021, at her home in Cambridge.Jean was born in Taunton, Mass., on April 7, 1933, the daughter of the late George and Maude (Ingalls) Frumerin. She worked for Oxford Paper Company in Rumford in the Transportation Department, as secretary to the president of Rumford Hospital, to the president of Westbrook College and to the president of Peoples Heritage Bank in Portland. Jean was a graduate of East Bridgewater High School in 1951 and Westbrook College, where she proudly earned a degree as an adult. She enjoyed birdwatching, writing, reading and doing crossword puzzles.She is survived by her two sons David Christie and wife Cindy of Rumford and Marc Christie and wife Becky of Freeport; three grandchildren Moriah Christie of Freeport, Sawyer Christie of Gray, and Anna Christie of Boston; the father of her two sons, Lindon Christie Jr.; and her companion, Stumper, the cat.She was predeceased by her husband, Fred Johnson; and her parents.To leave a message of kindness or to share a memory, please visit http://www.shoreynichols.com.
