Paul D. Brousseau

LEWISTON – Paul D. Brousseau, 54, of Lewiston passed away peacefully in his sleep from a heart issue on Sunday, May 9, 2021.

He was born in Lewiston on July 13, 1966, the son of Louis and Doris (Gauthier) Brousseau.

He attended Oak Hill High School and was part of the class of 1985.

He married his best friend and soul mate Theresa A. (Varle) on July 29, 1995. He was employed at Dirigo Drywall until he suffered an injury in 1991. Shortly after his marriage he became a full time homemaker.

He thoroughly loved raising his children and being with them every day. He had great pride and joy in his children. He was so very proud of the adults they became. He had an abundance of joy seeing them happy in their own lives. He raised strong and independent children which had a great respect for him.

He later had a grandson, Oliver, his favorite person hands down. He enjoyed watching Oliver paint and draw beautiful art work to hang on the fridge. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially on Thanksgiving his favorite holiday. He also had many friends that will miss his contagious laughter and sense of humor.

Survivors include his wife, Theresa; daughter, Chelsea and her boyfriend Derek, son, Levi and his fiancée Kristin; his favorite grandson, Oliver Lionel and a second grandson and his name sake, Jackson Paul, due later this month; his Matante Connie Spencer; and many, many cousins and friends.

Paul was predeceased by his parents; and only sibling, his brother, Raymond; his special Matante Anita Dostie; and his lifelong best friend Lionel “Nel” Dionne.

A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, May 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham and Lynch Funeral Home. There will not be any services or committal services.
