Richard P. Daignault

LEWISTON – Richard Daignault, 73, of Lewiston, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 9, 2021.

He was born on Jan. 6, 1948, the son of Paul and Shirley (Sampson) Daignault.

He graduated from Edward Little High School in Auburn. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a devoted member of Eastgate Christian Fellowship. He had a passion for radio and worked for many years at WLAM and was a meteorologist for WQRY.

He was a true and loving brother to his siblings and loved his family. He was also a friend to many.

Richard is survived by his brother, Daniel Daignault and his wife Patricia, his sister, Mary Holmes and her husband George; along with a niece, Katie Theriault, nephews Andrew and Simon Daignault and Matthew and Joseph Theriault.

He was predeceased by his parents.

A private graveside service with military honors will be held for Richard at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of The Fortin Group \ Plummer and Merrill Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services, 217 Turner St., Auburn, 783-8545.
