Earlier this year Dee Chapman, owner of All About You Salon in New Auburn, thought it would be fun to throw a party to celebrate 20 years in business. Within a few weeks, her vision has grown into a community event that will celebrate her milestone and allow all New Auburn residents and businesses to celebrate the beginning of relaxed pandemic restrictions and enjoy the shiny new Anniversary Park right outside her back door. The beautiful space is highlighted by the “Bells of St Louis Church”, in a newly constructed bell tower that serves as the neighborhood’s focal point.

The community is invited to share in the fun Saturday, June 5 with live entertainment and a variety of beverages and entrees available at the New Auburn Social Club and the Firehouse Grille. Outdoor vending will be provided by New Auburn Legion Post 153 with their famous Lime Rickeys, fried dough from Rolly’s Diner, and burgers and hot dogs from New Auburn Social Club, where all are invited to their open house.

Live music is set to begin at 1 p.m. from New Auburn residents Continental Shakedown, L-A Harley Band, Bill Price, and Maine’s “queen of the blues” Bonnie Edwards. Chapman and her staff also will celebrate with Customer Appreciation Day in her parking area, featuring discount services, prizes, and surprises. Then Fireball Creek will perform from 6 to 9 p.m. outside the Firehouse Grille.

Event sponsor is Uncle Andy’s Digest.

The event is free, all ages are welcome.
