MECHANIC FALLS — Paula Stotts defeated Raymond Lavoie for the two-year term on the Town Council in the town’s only contested race Tuesday.
Stotts edged Lavoie, 90-56.
A pair of three-year terms on the council are going to Tarsha Downing and newcomer Darrell Young as they collected 74 and 48 votes, respectively, in uncontested races.
The proposed 26 article municipal budget — totaling $3.02 million — passed.
The Town Council’s reorganization meeting will be held June 24 at 6 p.m. It had originally been scheduled for June 21, but that conflicted with a Planning Board meeting.
