BUCKFIELD — Voters selected four new members Tuesday to the Select Board in a total overhaul of the town’s elected officials.

At last year’s Town Meeting, residents voted to expand the Select Board from three to five members.

The four candidates were all unopposed on the ballot, but Matthew Whitney launched a write-in campaign against Janet Iverson, who was running to complete the term of Chairwoman Tina Brooks, who was resigning for family reasons. Whitney received 32 write-in votes against Iverson’s 82 votes.

Also elected to the Select Board were Michael Iverson, Janet’s husband, who will serve a three-year term replacing Martha Catevenis. For the two newly created seats, Cameron Hinkley will serve a two-year term and Robert Hand’s term is for one year. Hinkley received 96 votes, while Michael Iverson and Hand each received 94 votes.

Hinkley’s and Hand’s seats will become three-year terms the next time they are on the ballot to make sure there are not more than two Select Board seats are up for election at the same time.

Cheryl Coffman is the lone returning Select Board member.

Residents also voted on the proposed School Administration District 10 budget, passing it by a 76-49 margin.

There were no candidates on the ballot for assessor, but Hinkley received the most write-in votes with 24.

A total of 135 residents voted.

A referendum on the municipal budget will be held later at a date to be determined.
