Annamarie Pond

BRIDGTON — DFD Russell Medical Centers has hired Annamarie Pond for its DFD Bridgton team. Pond will begin seeing patients beginning July 6.

She earned her undergraduate psychology degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. She graduated magna cum laude, as a Commonwealth Scholar and in an Honors Research Fellowship. Pond earned her doctorate degree in osteopathic medicine at the University of New England in Biddeford. She is board certified with American Board of Family Medicine, Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment, the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the Maine Osteopathic Association.

In addition, Pond has extensive teaching experience at the University of New England, Tufts University School of Medicine and as the resident physician with the Family Residency Program at Central Maine Medical Center teaching third- and fourth-year medical students. She also has international medical experience with the Himalayan Health Exchange in India.

Pond’s background is in outpatient family medicine, treating all ages from newborns to elder patients. She joins DFD from Stephens Memorial Hospital of Maine Health in Norway and will be accepting patients at the DFD Russell Bridgton location.
