DEAR SUN SPOTS: I lost my black LG Android smart phone around May 20 and 21 somewhere in the Lewiston or Sabattus area. I’ve called all the places where I had been, but no one has found it yet. It would be greatly appreciated if it was found and returned to me. My contact number is 375-2597. – No name, Sabattus

ANSWER: Losing a phone rates pretty high on everyone’s stress list and I’m so sorry you’ve lost yours! You may also want to call the municipality’s police departments in case anyone turned it in there. Please let us know what happens. My fingers are crossed that you are reunited with your phone soon.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I want you to know I had an instant response to my Sun Spots letter looking for a 1966 Oxford Hills High School yearbook. A lady from South Paris called me the day after my letter was in your May 25 column.

My friend is so happy to have replaced her missing yearbook and to top it all off, the lady’s father was in the very same graduating class as my friend’s father in 1947 and the lady’s daughter graduated in 1969, the same year as my friend’s daughter graduated, all from Oxford Hills High School in Paris.

It’s a small world, but Sun Spots just makes it a happier one. Thank you for being there for all of us. — Virginia, South Paris

ANSWER: This makes me feel so terrific! All my readers know how I love happy endings, but this is extra special. Thank you for letting us know!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Due to ill health, I am unable to do heavy cleaning in my home anymore. I’m hoping that you might have names of someone in your Rolodex who could come to my home to wash walls and windows. — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: It would be best if you contact SeniorsPlus at 795-4010. Ask to be connected to Community Resources and the staff members there will ask you some specific questions and help to pair you with someone matched to your situation. I’m offering this as a suggestion and can also list companies in the area: PJM Cleaning and Home Improvement in Lewiston (209-4458 or 436-5111, pjmcleaningme.com); Sue Croteau in Auburn (212-0812); and Jackie’s Cleaning & Maintenance in Lewiston (784-0632, jackiescleaning.com, jackie@jackiescleaning.com)

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Regarding recipes for lentil soup (May 25 Sun Spots) there are good recipes such as Barley Vegetable Soup right on the packages or you can look them up on the computer. You can add to or subtract ingredients and amounts from the recipes. That’s what I do depending on how many I’m feeding for lunch or dinner. When you buy the lentils, remember that 16 ounces (one pound) equals 2 cups so 1 cup equals 8 ounces; 1/2 cup equals 4 ounces and 1/4 cup equals 2 ounces. Using a measuring cup instead of the package volume helps to determine the ratio of lentils to water to use. I don’t guess and ruin the soup. — No name, no town

ANSWER: Thank you for the tips!
