Rejane M. Thibault

PATASKALA, Ohio – It is with a heavy heart that the children of Rejane M. (Bosse) Thibault announce the passing of their mother at the age of 99, on May 11, 2021. She died at Mount Carmel East Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She lived in Pataskala, Ohio, since moving from Maine in 2005. Born to Alberic and Denise Antier Clement in Coulonges, France, on May 1, 1922. Her home was in Aussac, France, where she was the oldest of four children. Predeceased by most of her family, where her father, Alberic, died at the age of 69 in 1955 and her oldest brother, Jean, died at the age of 33 in 1957, both in France. Her mother died at the age of 98, in Lewiston, Maine, in 1996, and her youngest brother, Bernard, from Auburn, Maine, died at 81 in 2012. She is survived by a sister, Jacqueline Clement of Grenade, France, and a sister-in-law, Priscilla “Pat” Clement from Auburn, Maine. Also surviving her (originally from France) are an ex-sister-in-law, Ghislaine Clement from Auburn, Maine; a niece, Sylvie Thorstensen, from Haddon Township, New Jersey, and a nephew, Xavier Clement from Greene, Maine.She was born shortly after World War I and was a young woman when Germany occupied France during World War II. Towards the end of the war, she met a young American soldier, George P. Bosse, and eventually they were married. In 1946, she traveled from France in a U.S. military ship to arrive in New York. She and her husband traveled to Lewiston, Maine, the place that would become her home for almost 60 years. She worked in textile mills in Lewiston for many years. She co-owned with her husband two rental properties, Swan’s Tourist Home and The City Motel. To describe her: she was totally loving, industrious, and very talented. She was an accomplished seamstress. She was an excellent cook and had a green thumb for growing vegetable gardens, plants, flowers, and shrubs.She remarried in 1981 to Adelard Thibault, a widower, who had seven adult children. Adelard was a retired home builder, excellent carpenter, and he could repair almost anything. Together, they built two homes, residing in one of them. They found time to travel to many places, her beloved France, Canada and England. They were married for almost 15 years until he passed in 1996.Surviving her are three sons, Jack Bosse and Regis Bosse, from Pataskala, Ohio, and Paul Bosse, from Peoria, Arizona. She was predeceased by a daughter, Marie, who died at birth. She had eight wonderful grandchildren; Jodie Perkins, Jason Bosse, and Christopher Bosse, from Ohio (Jack), Michael Bosse and Nicole Gora, from Maine, Kimberly Livingstone, from New Hampshire, and Kristopher Bosse, from Pennsylvania ( Regis), and Jennifer Arel, from Maine (Paul). She had many nieces and nephews and several great-grandchildren.A special mention and thanks to Rita Loring from Pataskala, Ohio, Jan Christian from Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Roger (now deceased) and Rachel Thibault from Turner, Maine, who were generous with their love, affection, time, and thoughts for our mother throughout the years.Mom, we have written only a few things about your life and we have so much more.
